Cuttington University benefits from technological advancements: as Orange Digital Center (ODC) launches Digital Club for Cuttington University Students in Suakoko, Bong County.

On December 15, 2023, scenes of celebration ignited on the main campus of Cuttington University in Suakoko as the president of Cuttington University,  Dr. Romelle A. Horton officially cut the ribbon for a fully furnished digital center featuring art services, coding school, and Fab-Lab with 3D printers to assist students in translating their imaginative concepts into realities. 

This development comes just few months after the main campus of Cuttington University witnessed the Orange Foundation launch of the Orange Digital Computer Lab at the William VS Tubman Library.

The Digital Hub is the first to be used by a tertiary institution outside Monrovia since the main center was established in Congo Town, Monrovia.

Following the official opening ceremony, the Orange Digital team through its manager noted that the ODC team anticipates that the hub will be utilized by Cuttington University students, youth organizations in Bong County as well as  adjacent communities.

On behalf of Cuttington University, The president, Dr. Romelle A. Horton expressed gratitude to the Orange Foundation team and partners for their support in assisting CU attain its vision of Greatness Through Innovation. She also appreciated the Orange Foundation for equipping the lab with brand-new computers, televisions, projectors, software to assist students, 24-hour Wi-Fi connectivity and other accessories. The Lab will also enhance CU’s research programs

 Dr. Horton further thanked the Orange Liberia team, for supporting the vision of the university that would propel new heights.

According to Orange Foundation, the value of the Lab is approximately $22,000USD.
